Nobody Should Know
Nobody Should Know tells the stories of three courageous Orthodox Jews, forced by the customs of their community to keep their life-threatening illness, the genetic disease cystic fibrosis, a secret not only from the community but also from many of their loved ones.
This feature-length documentary explores issues of secrecy, shame, guilt, and the unacknowledged conflicts surrounding chronic illness that exist within the Jewish Orthodox community . These individuals must constantly balance time-consuming daily medical regimens with their religious responsibilities.
