World Video Formats

All videos on our site are VHS NTSC format (Canada & USA). Be sure to tell us the PAL format option, for those international customers who need that format. The NTSC Standard (National Television System Committee) is used by many countries on the American continent as well as many Asian countries including Japan.

The PAL standard (Phase Alternating Line) was implemented in most European countries except for France.

The SECAM standard (Sequential Couleur Avec Memoire or Sequential Colour with Memory) was implemented in France and some Eastern European Countries.

Many UK and European VCRs are dual format and will play both NTSC and PAL videos. Please check before ordering.
